File of Life Program

Please stop by the fire station and pick up one of these “File of Life” envelopes for your home. It could provide the First Responders with important information about a medical condition you have and medications you take in case you are unable to provide that information in an emergency! The magnetic sleeve will hold it on your refrigerator so they can easily and quickly find it if they need the information.

Knox-Box Program

knoxbox 1

Knox-boxes are a proven safe, secure, and effective way for SLFD to quickly gain entry into local businesses and residents' homes without causing damage when it is locked and there is not a keyholder readily available.

SLFD recommends businesses and residents purchase and have a KNOX-box installed on their place of business or residence.  While SLFD does not purchase the boxes, we will assist you with ensuring you purchase the correctly keyed KNOX-box and help you locate the best place to mount it so first responders can find it quickly in an emergency.
